I think everyone deserves a second chance. We're all human, we all make mistakes. Part of life is making mistakes and learning from them. I don't think you should give people third chances and so on if they're making the same exact mistakes, like cheating for instance. There's a difference between giving someone a second chance and being completely walked all over.
